Spotted crake

This species lives in wet meadows, typically in the transition zone between the open meadow and the reedbed. It is often found in areas like floodplains with fluctuating waterlevels.

The Spotted crake is listed on Annex I of the Birds Directive (Directive 2009/147/EC).
